Case of cold feet and the dev(s) took the money and ran; sounds like they were all in on it to me and are hiding behind some dev that supposedly lives/operates in Russia so as to bypass NATO business laws. The pricks couldn't even re-release the standalone game version and let everyone who payed for the title play at least some of the game.
Oddly, it dawned on me that the game looked a great deal similar to Defiance - sus af.
Equally odd, some of the games assets appeared in a free to play MMO on the Epic games Store which has been removed, pulled or renamed.
