Guide: get RTB tracks into AC
okay.. i have now managed to get the simple track into asseto corsa.the thing you have to remember is not to added any other tracks data like on the video.

first step:
1) completed your simple track. (yes i know it helps).
once your track is complete (i mean a full circuit, no good you trying to do half circuit and hope that it will work..unless you like flying too)
2) before you start jumping into folders and structures.exported your track to a temp folder with this structure intacted, i will come to the data per folder after.

3) folder and structures:

[yourtrackname.fbx.ini]------------> (kseditor presisent file)
map.png

**examples.
folder name: [AI] leave empty.. no ai splines in RTB yet
folder name: Data : **important part*** requires a few files listed below. ****
folder name: skins : leave empty
folder name: texture ** do not name this folder textures**] your track textures files
folder name: ui [the 3 important files. your map image / preview image and json file (like rfactor it gives the information about the track. so edited this file with the track details . name/country/county/full name of track).

Files Needed **** data folder copyed from existing track ***

These files aren't required, but optional or created on first load of your track

The official AI recording app needs to be enabled before it can be used, to enable this edit the assetto_corsa.ini config file located in your steam library:

SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\assetto_corsa.ini and replace the 0 with a 1

Start at the start line and hit the Start Recording button. (top one out of the three)
Do a complete lap until you cross over the start again, shortly after it should auto update the AI and you should see the line appear before you. (as there is a bug trying to STOP fastline recording, once the line has updated, quit the track)
It will create a file called "fast_lane.ai.candidate" in your AI folder
(When you drive the lap, you do not need to worry so much about speed, its more about driving an accurate line.)

If you want to create a Pit AI line as well you can (just as easy)..
Start on the main track sat on your previous fastline, just before the entry to the pit lane.
Hit the Record Pit button.. Drive down into the pitlane, out the other end and back onto the track and drive a timid lap (sticking close to the inside of all corners, as if you was trying to stay out of the way of other drivers) keep going all the way around past the start line (do not drive down the pitlane AGAIN), until you come to just after the pitlane exit point, Hit the button again to stop the pitlane recording. Now exit the track.
So you have recorded from just before the pitlane, down the pit lane, right around the track and to just after the pitlane (you do that so if an AI car gets into an accident ANYWHERE on the track it can find its way back to the pits (it will take the timid lap line)
You should now also have a file called pit_lane.ai.candidate in your AI folder.

To turn those into actual Fast line and Pit line. just simply remove the " .candidate" from the end of the filename, so it says " fast_line.ai "

Thats it.... thats all you have to do.

Ideally you want the start and end of the Fast line to be in the same place on the track (so if you started on the right hand side of the track , you want to finish on the right side as well)
When recording the pit line. try and make the start and end meet the fastline.. So its a nice smooth transition between pit and fast line.

hi, I have trouble running the starting grid in the opposite direction . around the auto position , the start , and the pit but the sense of self . on a part of the track gives the correct direction .

i think you need to look at the track file trackname.json. and change the postion around to anti clockwise.

Good morning , I tried but not working . controls the position of the polygons and ac_pit ac_start . I think it is related to the first track is done . however so take advantage of the circuit in the anti - clockwise rotation is not possible.

have youy reverese the staret points/check points objects in RTB. you could in BTB not too sure about RTB at the moment.has i can't even get the terrain editing going.

I`m just sick of this... I can`t make my track work!, I have done all over and over and over again... it starts loading and trows me back to AC menu...
No errors or anything, just trows me back to menu.
I have see many tutorials, even try with super simple track, but nothing.
everything else works great (all other AC tracks)

what selection have you selected in front menu where you selected the map coords
. if you choose other than Ac then the materials would be wrong.

Olá, alguem em 2023 tentando fazer funcionar algo que desenvolveu. Preciso de ajuda, nem o mais comples dos circuito ñ consigo fazer funcionar no AC
