Edit terrain question and a few more...
Hello.
I'll start by saying that i'm sorry i didnt get this software sooner. I'm taken and mezmorized. Turns out it is even easier to use than what my impression was when watching tutorials.

First Q i have is about terrain editing.
When watching tutorial, i notice the UI is from older version. I cant find "lower/raise" function.
The "remove detail or add terrain" tab gives me triangles that dont seem to alter my terrain.

Q2: I wonted to add white lines to my track and i fallowed a suggestion from this video:
https://youtu.be/ltx2MQ2oBsE?t=19m45s
"quick way to add the lines is to edit the materials"
After fallowing the steps, i have gotten the white lines but the road reflexion and some other properties must have changed and looking from most angles, the road surface is too shiny and reflective. How can i remove that shine from the track?

Q3: is there any other place where people share xpacks? Need more stuff :)

Hey Gunja...

The raise/lower will appear when you go into Edit Venue and uncheck "use Google to obtain height." Recommendation is to use Google initially to get your main terrain details, if you're using a real world location. Then uncheck that box, and work on details.

The remove or add details works like this... if you have a bunch of small triangles, you mouse over a larger one, and when it turns red, click and drag over the smaller ones which will remove that detail, and make the triangles the same size as the one you clicked on. I feel I rarely use this feature, and instead use raise/lower and flatten, but it can be handy.

For the shine, you need to go to the material, and in the Assetto Corsa tab, play with the SPECULAR setting. There's a tutorial that talks about shaders/textures and goes into all those settings. Create a simple project, and lay some track and texture and just play with those numbers to see how things are affected. Make a backup of your Xpacks just to have when you start playing with materials and settings.

There's really not a ton out there for Xpacks right now. You can find some of the old Bob's Track Builder Xpacks out there, and RTB can convert them automatically, but you just have to search around. And youy just have to go digging through forums and fan sites for people that may have shared them.

And if you haven't already, plan on going though all of these...

Feels like there's more activity in the RTB threads on those other sites.
Good luck!
