Anyway to play this drm free?
I noticed it has a text file for steam api. Wondering if there is anyway to get to take the game off steam and continue to run it?

Or please put on GOG. I would happily repurchase the game there.

Thank you.

Sadly it doesn't seem like Inti Creates are gonna re-release this in DRM-free form, much less fix the crap always online problem with Gunvolt 1 that stops the game from being playable without Steam connected to the Internet (or add in the other features missing from the Switch version). The chances of Inti Creates willingly release any of their ports without DRM nowadays — especially with how adamant they are against piracy that they screwed over IGA, Fangamer, and backers of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night when it came to trying to release Curse of the Moon on GOG just so it remains Steam-exclusive (which was futile anyway since it was already cracked and somebody breached their hidden "anti-piracy" measure) on PC — are about as good as Mighty No. 9 getting a true sequel and TYPE-MOON releasing fate/Stay night overseas.

Yeah I figured they would be like every other main-line Japanese dev that keeps their stuff with steamworks or denuvo drm. Sad :(

Technically, you can use a Steam emulator to do that, but otherwise no, AmethystViper's right.

Most Steam emus sadly crashes CotM outside this one particular emu that was managed to bypass it's anti-piracy measures that makes the game crash after the first boss (which by the way, Inti Creates, if you're seeing this: someone defeated your anti-piracy measures, make CotM legally DRM-free on GOG already!).

I'm glad I only buy their games with steep sales.

Ah so we've got yet another overblown arrogant set of developers on our hands here who think their too good to listen to the people that brought them where they are today. How pathetic and sad.

Maybe if butthurt anime fans that won't shut up about their prom nights weren't licking Inti Creates' boots with Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mighty Gunvolt they'd listen to criticism and genuine issues with their own games (especially on PC) better.
