Is there any combat in the story mode?
I’ve never played a blazblue game before and so far it seems like the whole story is just a visual novel. Is there any actual fighting or is that all relegated to the arcade and vs modes?

Actually yes, there is! Though I agree it takes quite a while for fights to happen.

I can hardly wait.

The earlier games had more fighting in the story mode.

I get they were trying to be part visual novel, but I have to say this game has the worst story mode in the series.

Maybe CentralFiction has it worse but, I wouldn't know, or even care. Since that game is a F*** you to anyone who isn't a hardcore anime fan.

Actually Centralfiction has it a bit better, even though its structure is more linear. No need to bring the topic of the dub on the table, though.

I never directly mentioned it. All I did was say what I thought about the game.

You could have just said "I wouldn't know because I haven't played it" without any other implications... Anyway, that argument is pointless and that's not what matters here. I gave my answer about both games, guess I'll just watch if someone else has a different point of view about CF's story mode compared to CPE's.

About that.

I did play Blazblue CentralFiction. It's not in my library because I refunded it.

All I said was I wouldn't know anything about the story mode in that game because I never checked that part out since by that point I didn't care and I naturally would have to explain why.

Maybe I could have worded that comment better? Yes absolutely.

But I was ready to just say. "It's just my opinion and I'll let you decide for yourself whether I'm right or wrong."

Okay? I'm not deliberately looking for a fight.

No problem then. I'm not looking for a fight either.
