Soon you will only be able to buy only from Microsoft store.
I am ALL FOR cross-platform. You will have console users that will not like the idea but it is not hard to give someone the option to disable it. With the xbox 1 basically being a PC with windows 10, it would be easy for DEV's to make the servers work for both platforms at the same time. They could also put online limitations for the PC, like matching the draw distance and not allowing changes to FOV and stuff like that so it could be a similar experience on either platform. The users would have the option to join servers populated by both or just console players. Like Ghost Ryder stated though, Microsoft said that cross platfrom support will only be allowed by games bought directly from the Microsoft store, which does scare me a little just because of the lack of options with "Rise of the Tomb Raider". Some of the basic graphics options are missing from the Microsoft store version. You don't even get a option for "Full Screen" when you buy it from the Microsoft store.
