CAN'T GET PAST BRIGHTNESS SCREEN PLEASE HELP!

I've bene pissed off, I started the game, tried to load in, get to the brightness screen, and the continue button is not there, I adjust my brightness fine, no freezing, running fine, and it shows up when I click several times but disappears, and I can't click it, my mouse isnt on my screen and I've used every key on my keyboard but it wont go past, I'm still sitting at the screen waiting, please help me out!

Try clicking when you first start the game instead of pressing Enter.

Xbox controller upside down for me so it thought i was using it and cancelling out the mouse showing because it was leaning on the analog stick

Removing the microphone worked for me.

Which the mic of my logitech webcam. After I unplugged it I had a cursor in the start screen.
