FNAF 4: The Truth About 1983
So many rumours are going around about the Bite of 87/83 thing, and I want to clarify this whole thing with my opinion. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. Either way, I've got a theory that may blow your mind.

It's the year 1983. After an unfortunate incident at an old pizzeria FredBear's Family Diner, a new owner bought the FredBear brand, and renamed it Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, names after a new character he created. In addition to Freddy and FredBear, the new owners also created Bonnie. Bonnie was a rabbit counterpart to FredBear, and would be used alongside him in stage performances. This version of Bonnie paved the way for a new Bonnie, as well as Chica, Foxy and of course, the Puppet.

There were 3 locations built by these new owners. The first was the one seen in the minigames of FNAF 4, the second being the one in the third game, and the 3rd being the one extensively shown in FNAF 2 in the Foxy minigame as well as the Give Life one. We know at least 3 of these exist, due to Phone Guy talking about "a" sister location. The word "a" refers to the fact that there's multiple, hinting that multiple locations exist.

Let's get to the date of the party. As we all know, the victim's brother and his three friends carry the crying boy up to the mouth of FredBear, and his jaw snaps. This is supposedly the bite of 87, but many argue it's the bite of 83. I personally feel it's neither, but rather one of the multiple spring lock failures mentioned by Phone Guy in FNAF 3. While yes, there appeared to not be a performer operating the suit, it appears that there are multiple modes for the spring animatronics. This is why as soon as the moist breath hits FredBear, his jaw locks, crushing the child's head. In addition to this, we also know that this is a spring lock failure due to the sound effect made. The noise of the bite is the exact same as the sound heard when the killer is crushed to his doom. If this isn't enough for you, I can still assure you this isn't the bite of 87. Some of the reasons why include:

- The fact that the animatronics walked around during the day until the bite implies that an animatronic must've been walking around during the day and caused the bite.

- Also, the Golden Freddy suit is decommissioned during FNAF 2, which takes place in 1987. We know this due to him being withered and hidden. Because of his state in this year, we can realize that he could not be on the show stage, where he is in the game. We also know that the animatronics can walk around during the day in this game, yet the suit is decommissioned, meaning that the bite could not have been the event in FNAF 4.

- It is heavily implied by Phone Guy that the animatronics acted weird around adults during FNAF 2, meaning that it was likely one would've attacked an adult during this time.

- In FNAF 1, Phone Guy states that the bite victim survived, yet that game takes place in the 90s. Considering the child only survived 6 nights after the incident, this statement wouldn't make sense.

- The TV screen shows "FredBear and friends 1983" on it, implying the date (not that this Easter egg meant much)

So I know what you're thinking, "why are there toy animatronics around the girl and Mangle in the bedroom if this is before their invention?" Think about the name: toy animatronics. These newly modelled animatronics were base off the
TOYS that were used in the earlier establishment. Why else would they be called "Toy Bonnie" or "Toy Freddy"?

Finally, I'd like to address Scott's 87 teasing. Just because the game doesn't show the actual event, doesn't mean we don't know who did it. Considering all the evidence leading up to it, the game proves that Golden Freddy is the biter. This game doesn't show the bite, but it shows what FredBear is capable of and how it's been caused by spring locks. Not only that, but there's been teasing of other dates, including 1983 and 1974.

So that concludes this theory, but there's many loose ends still that need to be uncovered. Some questions left about FNAF 4 are:

- What are the Nightmare Animatronics?
- What happened to the boy's brother?
- Is the boy really Golden Freddy"
- Is the brother really phone guy?
- Is the father really purple man?
- Who is Nightmare?
- What happened in the other spring lock failures?

Usually I'd answer these with the common "the Nightmares are the boy's brother and friends" and "the boy became the puppet", but instead I've decided to delve deep into personal struggles of characters and into the realm of the first children murdered.

It's gonna be a fun one.

See you next time my friends,

Halogen.
