Five Nights at Freddy's 4

Five Nights at Freddy's 4

Phone Guy's messages
are NOT pre-recorded and played for every new employee. That's why the phone is ringing at the beginning of every night. He's recording a message for you, yes, but it has to be happening as you are listening to it. The only messages that are pre-recorded are the ones in Five Night's at Freddy's 3.

But then again until Scott comes out with an official series Bible I wouldn't put too much stock into trying to figure out the entire story. There are lots of conflicting things that can only be solved by Word of God confirmation, and even then I don't think people would be happy with the Official word anyhow.

That doesn't change the fact that the phone calls are live, though.

FNAF 1 messages were pre-recorded as well. I don't believe that the calls in 2 were, though.

I don't believe that the calls in the first game were pre-recorded.

Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact.

Hello, hello? Hey! Hey, wow, day 4. I knew you could do it.
Uh, hey, listen, I may not be around to send you a message tomorrow. *banging sound* It's-It's been a bad night here for me. Um, I-I'm kinda glad that I recorded my messages for you *clears throat* uh, when I did.

Yes, he is recording a message. That's how phones work. But that is not good enough proof that he did this at a previous time, since messages on old phones could be recorded live. It's like if you miss a call from someone on your landline phone and they begin leaving a message, but then you interrupt it by picking up the reciever.

Phone guy is leaving a message live. Did people just forget how phones work? I mean, don't get me wrong because I feel like I sound like a jerk, but you can believe what you want. I'm just against passing it off as a fact that these messages are pre-recorded. We don't have confirmation either way. Its just, the fact that the phone rings before the message starts to play makes me think that this is a live event. I've always thought they were recorded as the player was listening to them.

No, I'm sure people didn't forget how phones work. Where would he be calling from? He's supposedly finishing up his last week in the office your character is now sitting in.

..then again.. who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ knows with this series.. could even be coming from another location inside the pizzaria..

Yeah, I don't know where people get the idea that they are recorded months ahead of when you play. If that were the case, why would only play one message per night and not all of them at once? I guess in the first game it could be the ghosts messing with Mike, but it wouldn't make sense in 2.

The messages from Fnaf 1 are pre-recorded. Phone guy actually mentions it ''I recorded these messages for you, to sattle in on your first night''.
Only the messages from Fnaf 2 were ''live''

The messages from Fnaf 2 were not "live" They were recordings dating back to Fredbear and Friends in 1983 where the horrible incident that created Golden Freddy happened, (If you've played Fnaf 4, you know what I mean.) It was promptly covered up. But, it was still there.

I played it, much more that I should have^^ In night 6 he asks Jeremy if he didn't got the memo and why he's still there. It's almost impossible that phone guy recorded these messages before and by coincidence the guard of fnaf 2 happens to be at the restaurant in the same night

The Fnaf1 Messages ARE prerecorded. They were recorded previous week, which is time short enough for the company not to realize what they contain, and delete them yet.
At the time of player hearing the messages, Phone guy is already dead.

Fnaf 2 Messages are NOT prerecorded, as they coment on the current situation in the pizzeria, they are not from Fredbear family diner, (phoneguy literaly states it was few years ago)

Fnaf 3 were ofcourse a mix of not recorded, and archival messages. Wheras the recorded phoneguy messages, track back to... I do not really know, either Family dinner, or the next resteurant.

Wait a minute, the Fnaf 2 Messages could've been pre-recorded if the employee of the last resturant also stayed that extra night. After all, there were rumors that several children had died. He could've stayed to investigate and then a birthday party (Ending of Fnaf 4) happened.

Yeah that but that would be the greatest coincidence in the history of coincidences^^

This is Scott Cawthon we're talking about. Everything is planned carefully. Hiding a plot point inside a coincidence would be just like him.

Yeah but a guy stays one night longer and phone guy calls him. Then a few years later another stays also one night longer and the message plays again? I don't know...
