How do you stop Foxy?

Whenever I see him in the closet, no matters if I shut the door or use the flashlight, he first jumpscare me and later then he kills me, do I have to ignore him?

If Foxy gets in your closet, he'll stay there for the entire night. You'll have to constantly close the door on him for several seconds. Each few seconds of closed door will make him go back a bit, but he'll keep trying to advance. If you leave him unchecked for too long he'll kill you.

Hold the door a few seconds and check on him. If he turns into a plushie, you're safe for a bit. Check on him again soon, maybe 30 seconds later.

thanks guys, Ive just found out that the safest technic to avoid him is to check the right door often, since he enters your closet from that door, right?

im 9 years late but foxy does not enter from the right door he constantly sprints between halls and if you check the opposite hall that he is in and he succeeds his opportunity he gets in you can hear which side he is running to by the panning of the sprinting sound
