FNaF 4 Gameplay Mechanics Confirmed![Update-GAME Released!]
The game was recently released by Scott, so we don't need any more theories about the game mechanics. However, you can post story theories here :-)

Also, please try to inform me of any updates, so I can be sure to update this description. Thanks! :D

If you wanna see what we got right and wrong about the gameplay, look at what was previously posted below

My description of the (possible) gameplay will include all sources that I have seen. If there's more, tell me please, so I can add to the description :-)

Doors
You click on either door to walk up to it. Now that you're near it, you can hear outside the door. If the animatronic is at the end of the hall, flash your light on it. If you can hear it's breathing, hold the door closed until it leaves. You cannot keep the door closed; you must manually hold it shut.

A thing to note, nightmare bonnie comes from the left door, and Chica from the right, much like the first game.

Bed
Also, you check behind you (on your bed) to look tor mini freddies. You can flash your light at them for them to go away.

I'm not yet sure if nightmare Freddy comes from the bed, or the door (maybe both), but you can guess that it's the right door, like his first game counterpart.

Closet
Foxy comes from the closet, and you can open it to check. I'm not sure if sound has something to do with this, but according to the trailer, shining your light in his face close-up won't kill you.

Plushtrap
The only thing that confuses me is how you'll look at Plushtrap, and how Fredbear will be included in this game. (Reply if you have a theory)

-DarkLordWiggles theorizes that Plushtrap's counter starts at 60 and counts down to 0. He approaches the X on the floor as the counter decreases, and if he reaches the X (counter gets to 0) you lose. If you shine the flashlight at him he immediately resets to 60.

Puppet??? And More
I also wonder if the Puppet will be included (I, personally, think itll be cool if hes in his stomach/mouth). Scott doesn't have to include him in the gameplay, but I at least want to know more about him.

Tell me who you want or think will be included in FNaF 4. If it's good enough, I'll add it here!

Conclusion
Overall, sound seems very important, according to Dawko and Razz, and it will be a challenging game. I'm looking forward to seeing more gameplay, and playing it myself!!! :D

The thing I'm most confused about is the timer in the Plushtrap room. It went down in the trailer while you were looking at him, so does it slowly go up until it gets to 100 or something? Is it even related to Plushtrap? He's the most intriguing bit about this whole thing to me.

Im not so sure about the timer.I mean, I don't even know how you will look at Plushtrap.

I do have a theory about the four doors, however. Maybe there's one or more animatronics that we don't know about. Maybe the Puppet's in one of those doors. I'm not sure, but the doors have to mean something.

Do they have to mean anything though? They could just be there for aesthetic purposes...

You'll probably just click on an opening that heads into the plushtrap room, and then shine your flashlight and force Plushtrap back. That's why the timer interests me. It even replaces the current time, which is extremley important to know. That must mean that it's something of large importance. The obvious reasoning is that it tells you that springtrap is closing, but you could just shine your flashlight, and it removes suspense of knowing if plushtrap is close or not. So why would scott do that? Plushtrap is the most confusing part >.<

That's so true! Plush trap is a confusing part. I mean, I could be wrong about the doors, but I feel as though they're important, considering that you had to brighten the image to see it

Again, I could be wrong, but it could have something to do with the game.

Just because you have to brighten the image to see it doesn't make it more important. Scott wanted to use an in game location, but made the focus point plush trap. The doors appearing after brighting are just a consequence of the lighting being more focused.

I realize thaf, and that is why I could very well be wrong. I just have a feeling that the doors may be important. I mean, Fredbeear has to come from somewhere, right?

I have a feeling that if PlushTrap lands on the "X", then an animatronic will be released one at a time. Like the first time it lands on the "X", it'll be Nightmare Bonnie, 2nd time Chica, and so on. You will have to also look after the Mini Freddies behind you when Freddy's released.

Maybe...

Good idea anyway.

That door mechanism seems VERY likely, how did you figure that out?

Check bed.make sure Plushtrap doesn't go.Go up to doors.Close doors. Flash lights to scare ''Them'' away.Check closet. I think we all got this in the trailer

Peace out
-FrozenCreeper

(P.S. I wouldn't want the most dangerous animatronic in my room closet)

Also, the ''X'' is where Plush trap will either attack you, or make it extremely hard to do anything, or Halucinations
