You probably don't have the updated version of FNAF 4 where the breathing is very low. You probably weren't notified.

See if this helps:

(1) Check your game version -- if you have v.1.022, you have the latest and should have the optimizations for Bonnie/Chica at-the-door sound level.

(2) If you have the latest version...maybe try changing your headphone sound configuration from 5.1 or 7.1 surround to Stereo? (Playback Devices -> right click on your headphones and select Configure Speakers from the context menu -> Stereo) This game seems to have issues w/ channeling if you have any Dolby/surround setup...helped a ton here when I swapped to Stereo.

i would bet if you mess around with the game audio files you could probably set the volume of the audio to max, so you wont have to risk having your head explode due to a silly little bunny wabbit.

Set your volume to 100.

You can't really do that from in-game, you need to get the mandatory sound file(s), edit them to be louder or replace 'em with something easier to hear, save the new files, insert them into the new game resources, then recompile the game's executable.

It's painful I know that, but there's not much of a better way.
Unrelated note, it'd be neat (for you at least) to become Death itself. Additionally, use the Edit button next time unless your intention is bumping a topic.

Yes, it's good you can "know" It's NOW, "KNOW"-ing isn't the same thing as the other term tell the breathing sounds from ambience noise.
