Who is Nightmare

I think that Nightmare is what the child you play as is stuffed or haunts the animatronic. As you can see, there's is a brain in Nightmare's head.

Considering the similarities between it and Shadow Freddy and the fact that the folder in the game that contains the buttons to start up Nightmare and 20/20/20/20 Mode - which are the only nights it appears in - is labeled "shadow freddy - extras," amongst other things, I'm pretty sure it's Shadow Freddy.

What the hell it is beyond that, no clue.

In the other two games, yes. That doesn't mean Scott can't pull it/him/whatever out for a hilarious "OGODWTFISTHAT" moment at the end of the night (and to give the game a final boss that, much like Freddy, Goldie and Springtrap before it, just raises more questions)

The child getting shoved into an animatronic suit? What… why would he be put in a suit because of "We will fix you"? If that happened you wouldn't even be in a bedroom with an IV drip and a can of pills, the former usually being to show your character is at a hospital on life support in a coma.

Heck, the layout of the building looks uncommon for a normal house.
