The Tragedy of 83 Theory and all Things FNAF 1-4
Hey everybody, this is MegaMR, And today I'm here to share my theories about the events surrounding FNAF and the timelines in which everything happens.

My beleifs are that FNAF 4 is actually based in 1983, not 1987.
There are many items and conversations in the series to back this up.

The main item everyone uses is the tv screen saying 1983 setting up a timeline for this game. FNAF theoriests matpat and the four 8 bitgaming crew all stated in their theories this was 1987, which scott has said they haven't gotten it right, and that they've missed something. On top of which he says "people seems to think I've put random easter eggs in, I haven't". Dismissing the tv easter egg as, "oh thats when it was established", would be dismissing it as just a random piece of information wouldn't it? And how were we not supposed to have seen this??? Its right there! I don't see any 87 theorists working this easter egg into their theories, just omitting or dismissing it... It wasn't an accident that its there and we were supposed to find it.

In order for this to have been the bite of 87, the events in the mini games would have had to line up with the events occuring in FNAF 2, because as we know from the 2nd game, the animatronics are still allowed to roam around during the day, because the bite has not yet occured. When we left the game, it was in November of 87 and there was just one more birthday party scheduled for the next morning before Freddy's Pizzeria was closed, meaning this would have been the only opportunity for the bite to occur.
Now here's a question... did the way the child was crushed have anything to do with the animatronics walking around during the day? The animatronics were still on stage just like they were in fnaf 4 long after. Having them stop wallking around makes no sense in avoiding a similar bite situation.
To make things clear, the things we didn't see that are crucial to have happened for this to line up weren't there.
If events were to line up, there was no investigation being conducted at the Fredbear establishment during the mini games leading up to and including the birthday party, no mention of the establishment being on lock down 2 nights before, no mention of it being closed the night before the party or any one saying that the restaurant just opened, because as we know, the fnaf 2 restaurant we only open a few short weeks.

All of these line up more accurately with the boy's death in 1983, being a tragedy happening years ago, as the begining of fnaf 2's phone calls, we are told to forget about what we hear about the first location as people still have a negative impression towards the company and that now "safety" is a high concern.

Next order of business, is the relationships we see between the people in the minigames and how they seem to relate to each other.
The boy is a bullied young boy, as seen from the older boy and his father, in the Foxy masks trying to scare the boy, and locking him in various rooms, and leaving the restaurant without him.
The boy is seen in the Fredbear establishment on many different occassions leading up to the last night, as well there is a dismantled foxy/mangle in one of the bedrooms. What does this mean? The father probably does work at freddy's, and judging by access to the parts room to lock the little boy in there, and have parts in one of the bedrooms, what kind of job does he have? My theory, he may work there as an animatronic technician.
Next on our list is the fact that we see the text, I am sorry, you are broken, and i will put you back together at the end fnaf 4.
The end text for I will put you back together is a unique color, and although some theories say its the puppet speaking, there is one person who hasn't spoken to compare it to that would have most definately been in the hospital room is.... THE BOYS FATHER!
The father, more likely if he is infact a mechanic, or at least knows how to disassemble foxy/mangle, abducted the boy from the hospital, hence the flatline when he is unplugged from the machine (the flatline does not neccessarily mean dead) and.... Dr. Frankensteined the poor child into the puppet! If we look at the puppet, it is seen with tears coming down its face much like our boy from the 4th game, and because this happened in 1983, it makes sense that he now exists in FNAF 2, and is distracted by... a child's MUSIC box!
A few other little hints that the boy may be the puppet are two facts:
The puppet helps the murdered children by giving them new life inside the animatronics in one of the death mini games.
And now this is interesting, the purple man's death mini game. There are four ghosts at the entrance of the room, now because they are in animatronic suits that are blind to and cannot enter the room, they are stuck in the doorway. As we hear from phone guy however, the puppet can go ANYWHERE! This may be why the 5th child is the only puppet capable of entering the safe room.
So what's in the box? The peices put back together! The boy is broken... we will put you back together.
The timeline of the murders seem to be after 1983 and possibly leading up to just before 1987 as heard in the phone calls when phone guy tells you to ignore that stories going around and they probably have nothing with the restaurant.
Now, having said that, we hear in FNAF 2, that there is an investigation being conducted, and that someone has used one of the suits, and now none of the are working properly. After this point, it leads me to believe the victim of the bite of 87 to be an adult due to the tampering with the spring bonnie suit, messing up the facial recognition software, making them act unusual, almost sggressive towards adults.
Lastly, who were the murder victims? The purple man worked as a security guard most likey for the initial establishment, so he was there when the boy was crushed.
We see 4 bullies wearing the masks of the animatronics, accidentally kill the boy, witnessed by the purple man. The purple man wants revenge and kills them one by one.
Now when does this happen? From the training tapes found in fnaf 3, where springtrap was found means that phone guy and purple man at some point or another, worked for the same restaurant. Phone guy was still alive when the room was sealed off, almost possitive that it was to cover up yet another springlock failure, death and more bad publicity. This means purple man died before fnaf 1, as by then, phone guy is already dead.

So! The timeline!

1983, the 4 bullies feed the little boy to and gets him crushed by fredbear. The Tragedy of 83.
The boy is put into the puppet, the first possessed animatronic.
The purple man kills the older brother first after catching him crying outside the diner, most likely crying while thinking about what he'd done to his little brother.
The purple man kills the other 3 bullies one by one, wearing the same masks they did in the minigames.
The puppet puts the boys into the suits.
Complaints arise about the suits having blood, mucus and bad odors.
The original diner closes, the old animatronics containing the souls are moved to the new restaurant.
Our beloved security guards takes up his job nights 1-7 of our nightguard.
Someone messes with the suits making them aggressive to adults.
We get fired for tinkering with the animatronics.
The final birthday party, and the bite of 87.
The pizzeria closes down.
Purple man's murders and death happen sometime after 83 but before fnaf 1.
Fnaf 1 begins leaving hints at what happened earlier.
Fnaf 3 30 years later with purple man still trapped inside the suit.

I believe that FNAF 4 is the final part to our story...
The origins.
How everything all began.
How the first animatronic became possessed.
And how the purple man was related to the establishment originally as an employee.

As many questions we have we do have a lot of answers:
How purple man killed the children.
How purple man died.
How 4 of the children were put into the animatronics - The puppet.
The cause of the bite of 87 - Someone tampering with the suits causing malfunctions.

And if I am correct in my theory... we now know how it all began.

"I will put you back together"
Now if this is the puppet and not the father speaking... this would mean there are still more questions... We all know there are no more answers coming, so this theory does not suit the situation very well, because... How the did the puppet become possessed in the first place??? We still wouldn't know!
The father theory provides closure, while the puppet theory provides more questions.

One more thing I noticed to put fnaf 4 into an earlier timeline... Check out mangle's head on the floor of the bedroom. It still has both eyes ;) By 87, one of the eyes are missing.

*Just Added*
In addition to this, when compared to the mangle putting himself back togeether mini game, mangle isnt even painted up yet properly, giving me more reason to believe the father is the one who redesigned foxy for the restaurant.

Or maybe what's in the box is a scanned copy the original story written down in notes by scott before he released the games... If the truth was discovered, why not make it official? Because it was not, maybe he canceled its release and decided to leave the community torn :P As for would the community accept it? YES! Even if half our theories are wrong, its very hard to ignore what is deemed as canon to the series.
