How to keep Nightmare Foxy away???

So I've made it up to night 7, and I'm having serious trouble with Foxy. If he enters the closet,I'm basically ♥♥♥♥ed. Sometimes he enters around 3 am,sometimes as early as 12 am. It doesn't really matter when he enters, though. It always takes too long to get him to the safe position (when only his hook is visible), Is there a sure way to keep him from entering the closet at all? I've heard that checking the doors frequently enough should keep him away, but I can't ignore the bed either. Any tips?

Listen carefully for his footsteps, you can tell where he want depending on what headphone you hear him from. When he's in just hold the door shut till his hook is obvious, or his other phase, then check both doors, bed, then foxy.

ALso, sometimes the animatronics are more active than other times, keep attempting it and soon enough you'll beat it (:
