Bonnie went from purple to blue?
I've noticed that past FNAF 1 and excluding Withered Bonnie, Bonnie's been appearing blue more instead of purple, with Toy Bonnie, Nightmare Bonnie, and now Adventure Bonnie. Was the shift in color to detract away from relation to the purple guy, is it just as aesthetic change, or what?

I noticed that too, I haven't payed much attention to it however. I assumed it was just a simple color change.

Yeah, that was my first thought too.

I think he's always been blue, but he just looked purple-ish in the lighting.

Withered Bonnie was slightly more blue than FNAF1 Bonnie, I don't think it was because of the lighting.

Everyone perceives color different. You can not be color blind but still have trouble seeing some shades of color a certain way, and many people have trouble differentiating certain colors once they start to fall around a few key shades. Their spectrum of that color might not be as wide as someone else's, basically.

The most common problem this is seen with, is Blue. For a lot of people Blue has a shorter spectrum and when it gets to a certain point, they start seeing it as another color, whichever it's closest to on the spectrum. Scott chose a color, I'm assuming Blue since he's a very Blue Blue now, for Bonnie that for a lot of people look like a shade between Blue and Purple, like Violet or Indigo. (which most call Purple because there's no reason to be overly fancy unless we're in a debate over the color)

That's why some people say 'he's always looked Blue' or that it was 'just the lighting' or even their computer monitor. While some people insist he was Purple and even though people will post color palettes highlighting his color on it, it still looks Purple to them. Because the shade of Blue in the spectrum that FNAF1 Bonnie is, is close to Violet.

I don't want to speak for Scott, but I think he may have seen people were thinking Bonnie was Purple and tried to change it subtly with Withered Bonnie, but it was still a bit too close to Violet. Which leads to Nightmare Bonnie being changed to a very noticeable Blue.

Of course the other characters changed color a bit too, so it might not have had anything to do with that!

Anyway color is a very very weird thing. To OP, Withered Bonnie doesn't look more Blue. I don't know if he didn't compare or if it just doesn't look that way to him. But because of how individuals see spectrum it could very well be they both look the same. I mean, even to me, what I call Blue, could be what I call the color Red to someone else.

Color depends on a lot of factors, it's different from individual to individual, women apparently see color better than men, but even though I fall into the category, the Blue spectrum is still short to me, and I've taken tests that say that though I'm not color blind, and so FNAF1 Bonnie looks Violet.

I hope this clears up why there's so much confusion, but I think with the Adventure picture it's set in stone he was intended to be Blue.

Maybe Scott likes Blue Bunny Ice Cream and that's why Bonnie's blue. Maybe he like their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Ice Cream bars. Maybe Bonnie performs guitar licks as he tells the kids to go lick some delicious ice cream from those ice cream vending machine Blue Bunny has in Chuck E Cheese's now.

That's my headcanon now and no one can take it away from me.
Thanks for clearing that up CJ, that was pretty insightful!
