Why doesn't Foxy have a jumpscare in FNaF 1?
I don't really believe the "Foxy is a good guy" theory, but why doesn't he have one?

To be honest, I doubt that. It was the first game, and I don't think he would have a deadline like that.

What if whoever possesses Foxy was a friend of Mike before he died?

You mean Phone Guy?

Also Foxy does have a jumpscare, it's just not up in your face.

His jumpscare is less of a jumpscare than Springtraps. There is no way him leaning in the office would kill you. And no, I don't mean Phone Guy. But what if Phone Guy is the one possessing Foxy? If so, he couldn't be the Purple Guy. If Phone Guy is Foxy, and doesn't want to kill Mike, maybe they have met in the past. What if they are the kids in the FNaF 4 Bite of '87 cutscene/minigame?

The crying kid dies.
His brother with the Foxy mask becomes Phone Guy.
The other bullies are Jeremy, Fritz, and Mike.
The kid comes back to get revenge on them, and eventually becomes the Puppet.
The kid believed that Purple Guy was a murderer and made the animatronics think this, the kid also brought his nightmares to life and forced his killers to live them.
He then trapped their spirits in the animatronics.
Golden Freddy was a hallucination brought upon by guilt of the Fredbear accident they caused.
With the help of an unnamed guard in an attraction based on the restaurant, the kid finally realized what he did was wrong and they move on to the afterlife.

And that's why Phone Guy says that The Puppet is his least favorite!

What if Phone Guy is the Pink Guy? He couldn't have been Purple Guy if he possessed Foxy. More evidence is in the "Go Go Go" minigame, because of how Phone Guy said that Foxy is his favorite. In the minigame, Pink Guy has a chance to appear in it.

Because of game design, the animatronics only jumpscare you when you lower your cameras with the exception of freddy and foxy.

If he where to have a full camera jumpscare it would be weird for him to leave pirates cove, run for you and then only jumpscare you when you pull your camera up and down again.

It would be even weirder if he where to suddenly pop up in your face out of nowhere.

Thus he leans in through the door, this makes it possible to play the animation at any given time and make it look natural.

He's the one who must attack, if you're watch doors, but not close them. Freddy is similar, but he sneaks. He has this jumpscare because of mechanics, nothing more

Scott wanted to make a tame jumpscare for his two sons, you can see it from the blurred newspaper clip after Night 6 in FNAF 3.
