JJ, Nightmare BB and the Phantoms. Where do these fit into the story?

Other Theorists, I would like to bring this to your attention: What about JJ and Nightmare BB (who is considered canon according to Scott)?

I mean, JJ did appear in FNaF2 and seems to play a role in the lore, so if we assume the game is a dream, where was the real life inspiration for JJ? And Nightmare BB's counterpart is in FNaF2 and 3, but mainly in FNaF4 as a main animatronic so where is the real life inspiration? The child outside the restaurant is very much like BB, but why would the child dream him as an animatronic when the other children don't seem to appear?

Every Canon Nightmare has a 'real life' counterpart:
Plushtrap: Spring Bonnie
Nightmare Freddy: Fredbear and Friends, Stuffed Toy
Nihgtmare Chica: Fredbear and Friends, Stuffed Toy
Nightmare Foxy: Fredbear and Friends, Stuffed Toy
Nightmare Bonnie: Fredbear and Friends, Stuffed Toy
Nightmare Fredbear: Fredbear and Friends, Stuffed Toy
Nightmare: Fredbear did the bite so this one is kinda obvious, and it looks like Fredbear.
Nightmare BB: ???????? The child's friend?

And what about the Phantoms? I believe that the Phantoms are the brother and his friends, but Bonnie isn't there. Plus there is the Puppet and BB. Obviously BB plays a semi-big role. The Puppet is being explained in MatPat's next video so I'm going to leave that alone, because MatPat will most likely get it right.

I would also like to mention that this follows the dream thoery. I had a few friends read this post and get confused about which theory it follows, so here it is.

The reason for this post is to raise awareness to MatPat's upcoming stream, maybe get some answers on these two characters and the phantoms.

The halloween animatronics aren't part of the story, they are just for the update.

Then why would Nightmare BB be considered Canon by Scott?

Why does BB look like a child in general? Because he is a kid. Does that answer your question?

I think JJ might of been something of a in-game joke that the fans took a liking to, and Scott made it a reality. Like I know the BB under your desk was tinted weird, which sprung the name JJ. But that was never truely official till Worlds.

Nightmare BB is the only canon Halloween character. The reason why he wasn't originally canon is probably just because Scott didn't have time to add him in the original game until the update.

That being said, where does he fit into the lore? The same place as the other Nightmares. The crying child knows the real BB in real life, so he probably just incorporated him into his dreams later. Why is he afraid of his own friend enough to have a Nightmare about him? That I can't answer just yet. It's unclear.

As far as the Phantoms go, I'll make another post about my opinion on that.

I remember reading somewhere that it was JJ the files, and that's how JJ got the name JJ.

Nightmare BB=Balloon Kid in the minigames. I know it seems illogical, but you must pay attention to one aspect; the child never saw a form of Balloon Boy ever. And even if he went to the FNaF2 location (which he didn't.) then Nightmare Mangle and Nightmarionne would have room to be canon as well.

The phantoms are nothing more than hallucinations.

I was under the impression that you didn't believe the dream theory because the dream theory explains it all.

I can't remember it explaining JJ, Nightmare BB and the phantoms. The phantoms must be able to fit somewhere in the story, I doubt they were picked out of a hat.

They weren't, they are simply the souls of the children that have yet to be freed. No for JJ however, as she has only made one appearance ever and it was minor.

Like I said, Scott puts things in for a reason. By knowing this, every detail is crucuial in the games. This is mainly why I picked up on these 2 animatronics and the phantoms. And how would the Baloon Kid get a Nightmare Version, a rather annoying apperance in FNaF 2, and a phantom in FNaF 3. And he didn't get killed, so I doubt he would be a vengeful soul.

I didn't say the Balloon Kid WAS BB. I said he's the reason we have Nightmare BB. There's no other explanation.
