Debunking the "springlock failure" theory
NOTE: Before I start this, I am NOT implying that this is the Bite of '87. It's not. I'm just debunking the "springlock failure" theory. Anyways, with that out of the way, let's begin.

So, a really popular theory among fans is that the event at the end of FNAF 4 is the springlock failure that Phone Guy mentions happens at a sister location in FNAF 3. However, this can't be true. The only reason that the spring locks would be in use is if an employee was wearing a suit, since they're used to compress the endoskeleton into the costume. And when the child is injured, there's no one inside of FredBear, therefore he's in animatronic mode. The reason that the child was injured was because FredBear's mouth was opening and closing since he was singing, and the child's head was simpy in the way, and crunch.

Congratulations! You're only the 12th person to say this! :) I guess you're not around these forums much.

The day performer Purple man helped into the suit appears dead inside the springlock suit two days later on Night 4. Now, THAT is the springlock failure. Purple man wasn't around to help the performer out of the suit and he had to take it off on his own, accidentally triggering the springlocks on himself and dying on the spot. The crew finds out and that's why during the birthday party there are NO employees wearing the suits, they've been deemed unfit for them.

During the party the teens shove the child into Fredbear's mouth, extending his jaws beyond their breaking point, which causes the head of the animatronic to come down crushing the child's skull to death. Two incidents involving the springlock suits, one in suit mode and one in animatronic mode get Fredbear's shut down and the suits decommissioned at Freddy's until they're repaired or deemed safe by the technician.
GEEZ, finally someone else figured it out!
