My analysis of every line of dialogue in FNaF 4.

This is going to be long enough without an intro so let's dive right in...

Night 0

What did he do this time?

A male did something to you. He doesn't always do the same thing. It varies...

He locked you in your room again.

This time he locked you in your room. He's done this before...and he's doing it again...

Don't be scared. I am here with you.

This bear is giving the impression of being there to comfort you...notice the lack of eyes following you...until you appear in your room...

These are my friends.

The boy is friends with Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and most importantly, Foxy. It's no secret that the family likes Foxy. There are 2 jumpscares in these minigames that involve a Foxy mask. The brother on Night 5 is also wearing a Foxy mask. There is a "Toy Foxy" in the "Sister's Room". It's not a stretch of the imagination to presume that the crying child's favorite is also Foxy. Hence why the head was ripped off, not because the family hates Foxy, but because they know it upsets this poor boy. "What did he do this time?" Well, last time he ripped your Foxy plushie's head off. :(

Also worth noting is that Fredbear isn't in the pile of friends. These leads me to believe that the boy does not consider Fredbear to be his friend, despite Fredbear telling the boy not to be scared because Fredbear is with him...

Night 1

You know he is hiding again

He has hidden before, and he's doing it again. At least you can leave your room this time...

The context of this statement makes more sense in the next night, although it still applies now. I'll address it then...

It's too late. Hurry the other way and find someone who will help! You know what will happen if he catches you!

Who will help this poor boy? I'm not convinced anyone will. And there's good old "he" again. You know what will happen if "he" catches you. He'll lock you in your room, he'll jump out from behind the TV, he'll rip the head off of another friend of yours...or worse. Why's your Dad so mean anyway? :(

You can find help if you get past them. You have to be strong.

There really seems to be someone in this building that Fredbear thinks will help you. Where the hell are they every other night!? :(

Night 3

You have to get up.

Don't listen to Fredbear. Fredbear hasn't been helpful yet. :(

You can get out this time, but you have to hurry.

That's what you said last time Fredbear, but this poor boy doesn't want to be in the Diner either, so what choice does he have?

NO! Don't you remember what you saw? The exit is the other way! Hurry and leave.

You saw those scary shadows. You don't want to see them again. Your Dad might block you in and force you to say in that scary room again!

Where is your plush toy? Mine is Spring Bonnie.

It's at home. My favorite friend Foxy had his head ripped off, so I don't bring him or my other friends with me anymore. :(

(Side note: I was wondering if this green shirt heart kid was Crying Child's sister. The colour of their texts don't quite match up. Also, if they were brother and sister, she wouldn't have to explain that she has Spring Bonnie, would she? She should say "I brought Spring Bonnie." or"I have Spring Bonnie.")

My Daddy says I have to be careful with him or I will pinch my finger.

My Daddy. Not our daddy. MY daddy. Also, why make a toy that pinches children's fingers? Is this lawn darts all over again?

He is a finger trap, he says

Unless he's literally a finger trap. As in, you try to pull you finger away and it tightens and "pinches" your finger until you figure out the trick to it.

That's interesting. Not, when they kill you they hide your body. If you die, they hide your body and never tell anyone. So a murder must have happened by this point in order for this story to make the rounds? And "they"? "They" must be the animatronics. She could mean the staff, but the first time she says "they" she has to mean the animatronics. People don't come alive at night. People are alive and stay alive until they are dead. The second use of the word "they" really could mean either the animatronics, or the staff of Fredbear's Family Diner. I'm not inclined to believe one over the other at this moment in time.

Why do you look so worried? See you at the party! Ha ha ha!

(Side note: I never noticed this before, but the screen between the laughing boy and the screen with the balloon boy is the only screen in the FNaF 4 minigames that doesn't have Fredbear hiding somewhere. I feel like I should read into this, but it's likely an oversight. If it was intentional, why would Fredbear be absent in this screen, and this screen only?)

All I'll say here is the crying child's friends, and Fredbear's friends are one in the same.

(Side note: So the laughter in the background. I just realized that it sounds like there is a woman laughing, as well as at least 2 males laughing. Is it possible that the mother, father, and brother are all in on harassing this poor child?)

We all assume that guy in the Foxy mask must be the brother. I'm not saying he isn't but...prove it? :P

Regardless, they're all too tanned to be the same person in the house. So it's either the Father, or maybe even the Mother if the creepy laughter is a clue.

Night 7

Some things are best left forgotten for now...

You know after painstakingly typing all that crap up. You want to know what I think is in the box? "The pieces put together". The crying child's corpse. Like the creepy girl says They hide his body and they never find it again. The Father, the Mother, the Brother don't want to go to jail, so they lock the corpse in a fire proof box and hide it somewhere, lock the box and throw away the keys. Some things are best left forgotten for now. I used to think Mangle was in the box.

Well, I still think the crying child becomes Mangle. An easily overlooked detail is in the FNaF World trailer, Mangle has a special ability called "Mystery Box". Gee, what could that be referencing? Why would Mangle out of anybody have this ability unless it relates to Mangle in some way?

The crying child obviously can't be fit into Mangle's body, he's a take apart and put back together attraction. Mangle is definitely possessed though. We see this in FNaF 2. The majority of the games lead us to believe that bodies being stuffed in the animatronics are what gives them life. Well that's impossible with Mangle. It's impossible with the Puppet. It doesn't look very likely with BB either. Possessed souls can still attach to an animatronic some other way. They have to, or else Mangle wouldn't be possessed.

I'm not sure if I'm as bold to say that there are multiple corpses in the box, but I'm thinking at least the necessary pieces of him are put together and kept in the box for safe keeping.

One last thing. To everyone that says that the box cannot be opened. Who here is old enough to remember Banjo - Kazooie? Remember Swop n' Stop and those eggs? I remember searching high and low to figure that mystery out. While that was never solved proper, it was discovered through hacking that on top of the Ice Key and 2 eggs we knew about, there were codes for 4 more eggs! In Mad Monster Mansion, when people tried to hack behind a fishy barrel with a big ol' red X plastered on it, all they found was blackness. Then the codes were discovered, and when the codes were entered, lo and behold, the black area of nothingness actually contained one of these eggs that we didn't even know about! Just because we can't find anything in the box via hacking, doesn't mean that it isn't there, and can't be opened.

And then Banjo - Tooie! The game was out for years...YEARS, and then finally a hacker discovered a fully functional 2 player mode buried in the game's code called Bottle's Revenge. Just because we haven't figured out how to open this box, doesn't mean we can't. It's very well possible that we just haven't figured it out yet.

Thank you to everybody who read this long winded post. We are close. We can still solve FNaF 4 without Scott's help. If we put our heads together, we can solve FNaF before MatPat "solves" it. I don't know about you guys, but I'd like to continue through life knowing that I, in part, where many have given up and moved on at this stage of the game, can own at least partial credit in having solved this mystery that has stumped the entire Internet. That'd be pretty damn cool, wouldn't it?

Actually, the Fredbear plush is hiding under the car next to the "Balloon Kid". You have to look closely to see it. Other than that, I like it.

Thank you! And yes, I do know about the Fredbear Plush hiding under the car. You can only see a foot.

There is the screen with the laughing boy. Fredbear is hiding in the sewer. Then there is a screen that is just a straight path with a fence. This is the screen I don't see Fredbear. Then after that we get to the screen with the balloon boy with Fredbear hiding under the car.

It's honestly, probably nothing. It's just odd that there is 1, and only one screen that I can't find Fredbear in.
