The Puppet's official name?

Hey everyone, I've have something (that may be quite simple) bugging me for quite awhile. And I wanted to look for opinions on the subject. That subject being: Is the Puppet's official name 'The Puppet' or 'The Marionette'?

Now, this would be an easy answer because of FNaF 3's extra menu (His phantom version is called Phantom Puppet) but when the FNaF 4 Halloween edition came out, he was called Nightmarionne (a fusion of the words Nightmare and Marionette).

So what do you guys think is his official name?

It's a bit confusing. You know those little key-chain figures? Well, he's actually called "Marionette" in that line. Maybe both names are official? Or maybe not. The FNaF World trailer calls him "the Puppet." Maybe it IS just "Puppet." Who knows? I like to think his stage name is "the Prize Puppet."

In extras, Phantom Puppet is called "Phantom Puppet." but then there's Nightmarionne.

The game files call the FNaF 2 one "Puppet".

That's what confused me really lol. Scott hasn't even been super clear on what his intended name is supposed to be.

somewhere there's a list of copyrights of scott cawthon. it reveals 3 things:
1. dungeons in fnaf world
2. funtime foxy isn't mangle
3. the puppet's name is "marionette"

If by your logic, Mangle isn't Funtime Foxy, then that means Springtrap isn't really Spring Bonnie.

springtrap and spring bonnie have separate names, bacckstory, almost everything, which is why they have seperate copyrights. but mangle and foxy are shown to be almost completley different animatronics, and funtime foxy is very clearly SHOWN to be a version of foxy, not mangle.

That's because Funtime Foxy is basically Toy Foxy. My guess is it's just in the name. I don't know. And how is it not clear that Springtrap IS Spring Bonnie?

it is clear. i never said they weren't the same. why are we arguing about this, the thread is about the puppet's name.

It's weird how Mangle looks like it's from Foxy's line up but it has counterparts of its own & they all behave differently than Foxy's unique A.I. This is the same with Freddy & Golden Freddy where people think they're the same until their similarities changed (especially with the Nightmare counterparts). All Freddy's position themselves as major threats but in reality, all Golden Freddy's are feared by everyone but they're put behind in the background.
