Basic explanation of the story for this game !!

Hii, I've been a FNAF fan since I was around 8 and it hasn't ever ended, I'm currently sixteen and still really enjoy the games and try to talk about theories as much as possible.

I generally wanted to talk about what this game is based on, just in case there's new players that may not understand but do want to know!



!! WARNING: THIS DISCUSSION CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE FNAF STORYLINE !!



I'm sure you already know of the Afton family.
William Afton/Purple Guy
Michael Afton (Son of William Afton)
Elizabeth Afton (Daughter of William Afton)
Crying Child (Youngest son of William Afton)

Crying Child is our main character in this game, he does not have a canonical name, but for this I'm going to refer to him as Nicky because I personally prefer it.

During the year 1983, Nicky and his brother Michael didn't get along very much, as Michael was a typical teenage boy and found amusement in terrorizing his little brother.
Michael often wore a Foxy the Pirate face mask to scare Nicky, which made Nicky develop a fear of the animatronics.

A day at the pizzeria, Michael and his friends who also wore fake masks of the animatronics, decided that a prank against Nicky would be a fun idea, so they grabbed him and lead him onto the stage where Spring Bonnie and Fredbear were preforming, per usual.

Michael and his friends brought him up to Fredbears mouth and placed his head inside its jaws to scare him,

up until they heard a crunch.

Fredbear had malfunctioned with a childs head in its jaws and bit down onto it, causing Nickys head to crush underneath its teeth.

Nicky had then fallen into a sleeping coma due to the head damage, and this is where the game takes place.

FNAF4 is based on Nicky's sleeping coma, he's dreaming/hallucinating all this.

Eventually, unfortunately, Nicky dies before he can wake up from the coma.

Yeah, I know what you mean, and it's no problem this was actually really fun to write!

Hate to break it to ya, but currently, we found out it was actually vague whether or not we actually play as your buddy Nicholas. While yeah, its probably him, there ARE very relevent evidences we might actually be playing as his big brother all along.

Also, did you know Michael bullied his brother out of jealousy? Confirmed in the books, he thought his little brother was spoiled, so he kept bullying him to bring him down to his level.

Or would it? Look up a video. There are tons of them with very convincing evidences. The whole community is having a debate on that.

Ohh, yeah I guess,,
but take in how there's a part where there's hospital machinery beside the bed at some points, and since evan was brought into a coma, there would obviously be hospital machinery in the room with him
