What's the True Name of the Phone Guy?

So, we FNAF Fans were refering the one who records messages as "The Phone Guy." Yet, no one knows what he truly looks like either. Because of that, people have been giving him a Phone for a Head in their Fanart. Which is rather hilarious. You don't have to answer this Scott, if you don't want to. I won't be disappointed. But... I'm highly curious... And I really know my stuff when it comes to FNAF!

Unless Scott Cawthon outright says that Phone Guy has the same name as him, calling him that is nothing more than a silly joke. Not saying people aren't allowed to call him that, though I guess this means Phone Dude is ALSO called Scott Cawthon.

For what it stands, Mechabre, we don't have any other leads...Knowing that the Phone Guy is voiced by Scott Cawthon, it is just acceptable that we can assume that the Phone Guy's name is Scott until we get a real answer of sorts...However, it is true that it is a bit confusing as Phone Dude was also voiced by Scott and he's an entirely different person...Again, though, we don't have any real leads as of right now...Call him Scott or call him Phone Guy/Dude...They technically don't have any official names as of right now...

without any kind of other proofs is Scott Cawthon but only because Scott used his own voice for the thelephone conversations so is a name given by the community like "phone guy" .
the real and original name is still unknown .

There's a named character in the novel who IMHO is strongly hinted to be the book's equivalent of Phone Guy.

I never really "got" the phone-head thing either. I dunno, I always headcanoned him as an average guy with winged hair (because early Eighties) and glasses (it's interesting, but nearly all the fan artists depict him wearing glasses.) Pole Bear's design for him is adorable.

I was a faithful follower of Rebornica's FNaF AU for as long as it lasted; I just wasn't that fond of their Phone Guy design. Of course everyone's free to imagine the guards any way they want, but having one guard who had a phone for a head just seemed...awkward, like a cartoon character thrown in with the rest. Your mileage may vary, and again, I really did enjoy Reb's AU until they ended it. Phone Guy's my favorite character and I personally prefer thinking of him as a real person.

On a less serious note, before he used the phone to record his training lessons, he used a tape recorder. Maybe he had a tape recorder head in the early days? XD
