Agreed, it could lead to confusion if he's playing (essentially) the same lead character in an entirely different movie franchise.

Although it would be really fun to see Stiller (as Larry the guard) and Kevin James (as Paul Blart, Mall Cop) in a cameo, maybe as guards who tried the night shift at Freddy's only to run screaming out the door.
