What does Scott use to make textures?
Hi all! I am making a fan game and I am wondering how Scott made his rooms so wonderfully textured. Could someone please explain. Thanks.

3ds Max - Models
Photoshop - Editing, Hues, Etc

At least I believe he uses Photoshop. I know for a fact he said he uses 3ds max for models, that includes the map.

If you want something cheaper, try Cinema 4d, or Blender is free and also good. ^_^

I'm working on a fangame aswell, and i'm using Blender and it's turning out very well. But for the textures i would assume it would be Photoshop or something of that sort. :3

Well, you could get modelers if it came to that. But, i myself would encourage you to give modeling a few shots. It's rather fun once you have a decent understanding of what you're doing. :3

I have Photoshop and 3ds max. I used Maya to make the room because I am more comfortable with it. But if 3ds max is better I can switch over. And as for photoshop, I need to take some lessons, because that is some really great detail he has in his games.
Nice, I personally have not used 3ds max so Idk if its better, but if youre used to Maya, you can stay in Maya.

Once again, not sure if he used Photoshop for the games, but I know he used them for the teasers. :)

I wish Scott would just pop in and say what he used. lol. And my friends said that 3ds max was like Maya, but "different" in some ways. I know I can't port a gun from bo2 to waw in 3ds max, lol.
Well he's probably sleeping right now, he may comment tomorrow(or later today if its past 12:00AM for you.).

And I've personally not used 3dsMax or Maya, I'm more of a Cinema 4d person, simple, but gets the job done.
