What I do is, constantly check left and right nonstop until I hear a laugh, once he laughs hes either infront of you or behind you (closet or bed) thats my quick explanation

What if he laughs when he is not in bed or in the closet, is that when I hear the laughter there are times when I look at the closet and the bed and there is nothing and when I leave to see the closet it kills me

all u have to do is to listen to where he go's when he laughs tho hes behind or in the closet OR at one of the doors he might give u a fake laugh.

There are no "fake laughs". The trick to it is listening for if there are footsteps following. If there are footsteps after the laugh, Fredbear/Nightmare is in one of the two halls. If he laughs and there are NO footsteps, he will be either in the bed or in the closet. Sometimes he just laughs frequently, but the following footsteps are the key to this.

there are fake steps though. at least for nightmare idk if its the same for nf. sadly i dont really do much night 5 - night 6 tries so i dont really know.
