The gas engine has a fixed speed and a variable POWER. Read the description, it explains this.
So with a gas engine, it will always try to go to max speed, but usually weight prevents it. So you would then bump up the POWER to compensate.
With an electric engine it will (almost) always have enough power to move whatever you build, but it will move it at whatever speed you set it to. The electric engine is so powerful that I've had gantry cranes with maxed out elec engines moving as fast as gas engine sports cars.
actually I would instead argue for the community
a lot of bs goes on in this community, and genuine talented mod makers are pushed AWAY from the game
if the toxicity of the community towards mod makers was changed, then more mod makers would be playing this game
Literally, there is another timeline where this game has thousands of wheels of all different types and styles and sizes
and that can be done very easily, even if each mod maker only does 2 wheels, it just means you need thousands of mod makers
but part of what kills this game is the negative feedback loop:
toxic community
mod makers make less
community gets angrier
mod makers leave
community gets angier
mod are reuploaded and stolen
mod makers say no to SM forever
in all seriousness
axolot's best option right now is to ban the existing community and try again from zero
or become actual game developers and develop their game
For someone who hates this community, you spend too much time fighting it.
this is what I was talking about
