First you'll need to make a tile in the Tile builder, it's fairly easy.
Once you open it up, click on "file" on the top left and then on "new", then select a size for it.
Small, medium or large.
The Medium is 4 times bigger than a small and the large is 4 times bigger than a medium, and so on.
To make a lake you'll need to activate water for that tile.
Then, under the "Terrain" Tab, select "Terrain Height".
Now with that tool selected, if you left click on the terrain, it will raise but if you press and hold "Ctrl" and then left click, it will dig in the terrain.
With water activated, water will appear everywhere that you dig, using the terrain height tool.
Once you're done editing your tile, press "File" again, then "save as" name it and then exit the tile editor.
Then go to World builder in the Creative mode menu.
Find the tile that you made in the list of tiles, under the proper size.
If you made a small tile, click on the small tab to show only the small tiles.
Find it and add it to the world, then save the world.
Then back in the main menu select new game in the creative mode menu.
Select the world you just made, give a name to your game and start it.
You'll be in the world you just created.
Hope this helps.
I'm good enough with them to make anyone able to use them comfortably.
