How to save creations?
Is it possible to save creations and spawn them in another server/game for re-use?

Not as of now, but I'm sure it's something they're looking into. Right now, it's just saving your game and they'll be where you left them (which you probably already know).
Yeah I already knew that. Okay thanks for the info I'll wait for that feature then.

Any updates that enable saving of your creation as of now?

Yes !

First thing, you have to build them on a lift.

Once happy with your design (you can modify it later though), aim at the lift and hit E (or whatever key you bound to "Use") and the blueprint window will open.

From there, you can give your design a name and save it. After that, you can upload it to the Workshop (but you don't have to, it will save your design anyway).

Hope this helped ! :)

I know it's been 4 years but... how do we enable E on Lifts, to save and load creations in Survival?

Cheating or not, this would be huge. In fact, for me, the only reason to play the game, and I'm not just saying that. Creative supports small and disappointing maps only, no water, no life, and even the plants look meh. The only reason to play the game is for building, which I wanna do on a large scale, and in a living breathing world, ideally..

I think the devs once again, like with Minecraft and its followers.. didn't understand much of the potential of their game. Why think on a small scale.. and only build a couple of cars and a shack.. when you can build cities and highways and rails and transform the entire world? Incredibly enough, it can be done in Creative. Even more incredibly tho, Creative is ugly and lifeless.. they could at least have enabled an ocean around the island, instead of the ugliest FENCE.

Yeah, I tried import NAME and /export NAME after enabling cheats in SurvivalGame.lua. You have to enable that first of course... Well. Some commands work, like /god, /setwater, /setfood. Some don't. Import export don't. Spawning doesn't. Or they do sometimes, very rarely, it's odd. I managed to spawn 3 or 4 times.. like /spawn woc or some weird robot. Usually they don't spawn, nothing happens. I also managed to export one blueprint.. dunno how. I never managed to import it back in tho. So I'm sure there's more that meets the eye here....

Never mind tho, cuz I gave up the idea of building in this game. It's not made for building on a large scale. And Creative is a lamified game mode where you can't remove trees, there's no water, no life forms [not that there's much in Survival either..]. It's just for testing some quick builds, not an actual game mode, sadly. But in any case, even if I could build with Modules in Survival, instead of building tiny block by tiny block, painstakingly until I die... there still are Major Collision Problems if you start building large constructions, like a highway. The game works fine.. for a while.. and then All Hell starts to happen. You won't have any issues with a small shack and a vehicle, I'm sure. It's just not for me tho, I wanna build cities and roads and such.. like I do in Minecraft. Impossible in pretty much any other game I've tried : [

maybe you should try cities: skylines if you want to build cities and roads and such. Theres alot more 'life' in that game if thats what youre after

Not really. I'm only interested in building in Sandbox worlds that I can adventure in, in first or third person. Basically, up close and personal. I wanna drive on the roads I build, and sleep in the houses I make, and hunt the creatures of that world... I don't see any reason to play an impersonal city builder. I play Mount n Blade cuz I can build my Kingdom from the saddle of my own horse, and personally shove arrows in the faces of my enemies, one at a time. I don't play Total War where I tell 1 trillion tiny, impersonal, distant.. generic minions what to do for me.. ^ ^ So just like MnB and TW are similar games, but WORLDS apart, Minecraft and Cities Skylines are also worlds apart. There's no point building cities in a city builder, you don't live in that city.. it's like placing assets on a table, and then looking at the end result.. which is nothing but a map you've just drawn. Could be fun for map-making enthusiasts..

As I said. Creative is lifeless, unfortunately. It's a pity they're not generating procedural, living worlds. I'm not a fan of Survival either, it's just a BIT more interesting than the empty and lifeless Creative.
