Game publishers/owners don't want to funnel more money into a project that gets a lot of negative feedback.
The game then gets more negative feedback as its funds are restricted.
The game gets even less funds and developer time as more negative comments rain in on it.
Now loop this until the devs abandon the game.
lol that’s not true. The only „negative feedback“ is about beeing intransparent and not giving informations to the player base anymore. Otherwise we would be hyped.
But does that not go for most platforms, including Steam, that you need an account to see what is going on?
And a Twitter/X account is free, so anyone can create one in minutes.
The cost is having another account to deal with
On the company's twitter, the last post was from 2018...
I don't know what you're smoking, but I want some if its allowing you to see ♥♥♥♥ that doesn't exist.
They've had 9 teasers on twitter since Devlog 25 was released, latest being in September. Half a year of silence is better than a full year
They've had nine posts on Twitter since DevBlog 25, but it can be assumed that those posts collectively were a single post, DevBlog 26, even though they weren't named as such. The timing of the posts coincides with their past Spring/Fall DevBlog release schedule, and if that history is anything to go by, we should be seeing another series of Twitter posts in the next few weeks even if they aren't called DevBlog 27. It's still a bit ridiculous the devs can't seem to be bothered with compiled news updates on Steam anymore, given that the game is only sold/playable through Steam.
Their Website has been abandoned, the Steam Page hasn't seen any communication for a Year now, their twitter is pretty dead too.
It shouldn't be the case that the Consumers have to scour for information and guess or do so much detective work just to figure out whats going on with the Project they invested money in (this is EA after all, so yes, we do have a right to know whats happening)
