Any hope for chapter 2? Does anyone know something about chapter 2 and when...sorry *if* it is going to come out? (or not)

Everything that is known about Chapter 2 can be found on the Scrap Mechanic Twitter/X feed. No, it has not been announced when Chapter 2 will come out. The only mention of a release date by the devs is that "... 2024 will be the year!" If they keep with their traditional biannual dev blog, there will likely be an informational post on Twitter sometime in the next month, but don't expect anything to be posted on Steam.

I'm at least 80% sure it will come out this year, because they are trying to make it come out soon, it seems like the devblogs are done or there might just be one left, and also it would be pretty hard to make it come out any longer, like in 2025. It might come out in summer, fall or maybe winter but it will most likely come out this year.

I guess that's one way to read that? You might try reading it one more time, only this time without injecting your own negativity into it. At worst, that post is simply informational and completely neutral in tone. At best, it's almost slightly optimistic.

For like the 50th time, we don't know when it will come out. All I heard is that the developers are working on another game called "Crew Commander" I think. Can we just stop asking the same question, It's really annoying.

Ha! i'm not even gonna give that a chance if they are thinking about abandoning another game. Raft took way too long to be finished. Scrap Mechanic is just a waste of massive potential. I love and hate the game at the same time, really. A third game? Not gonna invest into that...

Axolotl didn't make raft, they helped found redbeet & publish for them but not develop
