According to "General FAQ", It says "Reinstall graphic driver", and I tried it three times just a few minutes ago, but this game not launches. It is the problem what I'm saying..
Have the same issues, we will be waiting too. Any ideas on when this issue will be fixed?
Thanks
It might be something simple as doing a Google search for the real name of the graphics hardware you have before you can find the right drivers from the Intel website.
I was given a very generic set of drivers called 'HD Graphics Family', as if someone was too damn lazy to find the proper files for the HD Graphics 3000 processor I had. 😒
So updates via Device Manager were useless, HP Assistant wasn't any help, and the automatic driver finder you download from Intel was just as derpy. Why? Because they were assuming the 'HD Graphics Family' was the proper set of drivers to use.
Once I grabbed the executable driver installer for the Intel HD Graphics 3000 and rebooted, Scrap Mechanic worked, and a common error with another game disappeared.
Moral of the story I guess, don't aways trust what drivers are pre installed on your machine. Do the research and get specific names for things.
I didn't download the .zip versions, so maybe there was an executable there too... but I don't know. With what the executable showed in the log, I don't know how exactly I could have used a non-executable batch of files without extensive checking and rechecking of the install instructions.
Odds are you installed the update fine, since it obviously is working for other things. I guess, as the earlier post here, they are still having issues with the 520 and 530.
As I asked before, is there anyone with either of those kind of integrated graphics system able to get Scrap Mechanic to work? Would really be helpful to have such an insight on this issue.
