Is there a free version of this?

If by free you mean a pirated copy then thats probably what he got, you should definitely tell him never to download 'free' copies of games you normally pay for and that theyre usually stolen. More often than not they contain viruses especially since at that age its unlikely he checked where it was sourced from.

That is nice :) If you are downloading free versions you have a change of getting virus and also you do not support the developers. If you are going to download somehting free - if you like it, buy it please?

And also illegal to do. I suggest just buying your son the game if you have a decent(not priced high but decent) PC.
