It's the silence that is nightmarish. I know they don't want to say too much. I know a lot of what has to be done is... basic boring debugging, code structuring, testing, and architecture work. It is NOT easy putting together a cohesive experience that works well in a 3D environment with building and physics mechanics.
BUT THEY SAY NOTHING FOR MONTHS AT A TIME! Even just a "Worked a lot on the physics integration this week." or "Got a few more redesigns done on one of the new boss fights." or even "Getting this lighting just right has been several hours in the making."
But no... We get a crying bug...
At least the bug was before the deadline. I'm only just reading it but they DID face the music and say "Whoops!" but I am still... Rather done with their shhhhhtick.
Crap, the bug is making me feel bad.
YOU JERKS!
IN THE YEAR 2525
IF MAN IS STILL ALIVE!
IF WOMAN CAN SURVIVE!
THEY MAY FIIIIIIIIIIIIINNND...
If they wanted to keep the game afloat they would (should) have released all those new toys for public testing at least in creative mode only. All those new bots, sticky wheels, generators, turret seat etc. etc. There is no reason not to. And they actually used to do this fairly regularly until survival update 4 years ago. Still took months before new tool/block patch hit, but at least it was consistent new content every 4-5ish months.
Now the game is basically dead. And it shows. 11 sacrastic comments in 3 days on steam. Rip.
Add on top we're long over due for our next devlog, probably means we're not gonna get another one until release (if it even releases at this point).
