lol, so no one even wants to address if a manual save exists? pretty lame boys :)

There's no 'manual save'. It doesn't even make sense for a survival game to have one, it just enables save scumming.

It has autosave. But you only get corruption issues when you do some really performance heavy stuff. This game is pretty buggy don't expect everything to work from the get go.
IMHO survival kinda sucks right now. But you can have a lot of fun building stuff in creative.

to manually save, exit your current game to the main menu. there, what ever you did before exiting is saved, thats pretty much it, best there is right now.

that video isnt how to manually save its showing how you 'backup' your saves, which i encourage you to do. regularly 'replace' them after every session. so after you have just spent several hours building a vehicle ( id suggest doing this inbetween aswell actually) , exit your game and copy the save to another folder

its got me out many troubles. so its worth knowing how to do it.

it hasd auto save, the backup your saves if your doing a risky build that could kill your world or if your downloading mods

As some mentioned, it auto-saves automatically. Cloud storage at that. What some suggest (I would) is to backup your User folder/save game folder once in a while (\%user%\roaming\axolot\etc etc etc).

I've yet to have anything game breaking that splatted my game. However I do not use any survival mods at all, short of an occasional dev command so I can get bricks from warehouses that I've completed.

You do have backup which autosaves every X amount of time incase something bad happens, it's really simple
It autosaves your game and the video you watched is how you back up your world if it gets corrupted
