yeah, its pretty easy actually. yo need 1 level 5 piston, one level 4 piston one level 1 sensor, one water cannon, one vac pump, one water container, one level 2 controller, one switch and a stack of blocks. with these components you can auto water a 5x5 (25plot) farm. its hard explain in text. i will try to do a quick video on how this is accomplished in a couple hours and link it here.

ps. the system can be expanded to do more in a couple of ways. this is just a "getting started with automation setup"

i have been told that before, i should watch his vid and compare the differences with my version. granted i have gone to a more complex plant and water system, but the simple one i will do again as a starting setup in a new playthrough

Kan's is pretty good and even plants any seeds you put in an attached chest, sadly he hasn't done an in depth video on it so you'd have to guess at some of it

Mine is 5 planters and 5 water cannons that roll along a track on wheels with just 3 sensors and two memory bits

Yeah but thats not enough for me unfortunately, I need a build guide or I won't be able to get it right in my head. Not his fault or anything just pre warning for anyone like me that won't be able to get it from his video

Yeah his system is a little over complicated anyway. I accomplished what he did with 2 pumps to cannons a couple pistons and a controller

my current farm is 9x23, water and plant. uses a few sensors and a bunch of logic, no controllers.

im watching johns system. my simple system is simpler than his, uses less parts, accomplishes the same task. his uses 2 sensors per 25 and he needs gates. mine uses one sensor, period, even if you expand the setup the same sensor/flag rail does it for all the water cannons added to the setup.
