Can no longer weld tree trunks and rocks to Vehicle to be hauled.
I was planning to build a wood mill to automate breaking down large trees, but it seems in the last update they removed the ability to use the weld tool to load them into large vehicles.

Was this intentional? i imagine it was.
Can you please reverse this?

I have tried using large scale tree eaters, and they cause so much lag on multiplayer games it litterally disables the server for everyone as the physics go nuts.
Being able to weld and haul them to a large table saw would have saves a lot of time and headaches.

we got the idea here.

I'm guessing it was originally a bug, and in the update they fixed it. I'm pretty sure this isn't coming back.

Yeah they do it in RL. Haul the trees to a lumber mill to be cut to needed sizes. Though they use crane type machines to load the trees onto the haulers.

Would be fine if we could build cranes that work.
But it cannot really be done without freaking out the physics and lagging the engine.

Would be cool if they added a specific tool or something to make it possible.

Yeah, this has annoyed me slightly, my base is built around a giant saw mill with 8 blades, 20 max level pistons etc that can take the largest of trees. took nearly 200 component kits to build this up, and now its just redundant. All those hours wasted, am a little annoyed.

This is what i use, handles all trees and don't have to lug stuff back to base.

I have built similar, the tree trying to tip causes the mp server to go from smooth to rubber banding slide show.
The physics are effed up in the code, it's not the hosts issue either the guys got 64gb ram and a top end threadripper running the game on an SSD.

The moment we let the tree go and it's laying down the lag stops.

The welding and saw mill would have solved the issue.
