I've tried messing with suspension a lot and it's not the problem. I used to race R/C cars and have a decent understanding of basic setup to get a car to handle decently (Yes, it applies to real life physics).
I (Boxer-pistonengine) have a slight drift towards the right (could be balancing of blocks) but if I put the ride in overdrive its just like icedriving with summer tires.
Okay, if you use piston engines, all bets are off. I understand they use quirks to begin with. :) I use a tier 5 gas engine.

Direct drive should be fine ( no black magic), Tourqe could be a issue.
It also slides down a hill but it should not cause it is locking the wheels when turned off.
BTW: I have some slight slopes to deal with clos to me

Let us now if you get a fix for this sliding wheels effect
I think I just need to design some kinda stationary platform and just weld it to new locations or something.
i recently thought about doing this, Having a small stationary drill on an arm or something. Post some pics if you make one!
