Vacuum pumps and cardboard
I've seen this mentioned over and over but can't for the life of me I can't get it to work. I just want to have a vacuum pump spit out cardboard for a slug. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work; switches, timers, sensors, buttons. But nothing with get it to spit cardboard. Just water and food. Any help?

It only places Seeds and Water. Anything else is a shoot animation only to trash items. It doesn't actually place anything else.
Except to give the packing station food items of course.

Guess the one I saw on youtube was a mod or something then. Thanks.

I would be highly surprised if you find a way to make it work. Let me know if you do. I tried to do a similar thing with no results.

When you set it up you will see a square on the point that it will 'fire' the cardboard. If that square isn't clear it doesn't work. Also the 'slug' is very hungry and will eat real fast, as in if its there you wont even see it happen. Try and set it up with the slug out the room and see that is works first then put a cube wall between it and the place you fire too. It can eat up to three cubes high so it isn't a problem (my experience)

When I set it up and try to fire it, it just gives me a red X on the vacuum. It won't fire anything cept fruit and water. I don't think this works without mods.

no. i got to to shoot scrap wood and place it. make sure there isent a red block icon and that its faceing the right way.
