Do survival rock nodes and trees respawn ?

Because I'm seriously getting annoyed at the amount of stupid things happening in survival. I just got a stray hay bot destroy 10 full resource containers without making sound, he pretty much 1 hit them because I saw him as he was killing the last 2. That and all the truck parts falling through the world when you remove them off your vehicle.

So do they respawn at all ?

I asked Reddit if resources respawned as it's a fairly important aspect to me and they claimed that they do. I, however, have yet to see anything respawn, though my experience is thus far limited to trees and enemies

I mean, flowers, cotton, corn, honey, clam glue, oil do respawn. But I haven't seen a tree or a rock node respawn yet.

I think rock nodes do respawn, but I think I noticed that the one I cleared didn't respawn exactly in the same spot, it kinda respawned at an offset. I think that might be because I didn't clear the area of dropped stone and such.

they do respawn i think ones when i cleard a stone new stone spawned but by trees im not sure

It's hard to say, as I really haven't stared at a spot to see it. But from what I understand they do respawn, but it might not always be the same spot so it's hard to track. Pretty sure once you destroy a rock/tree another will spawn some where in the same tile eventually. Respawn time I have heard is about 2 hours real time, and possibly having to leave the tile and/or log out the game for major respawns to happen.

The big thing most people agree on though is if you don't fully harvest a resource it won't respawn. So that means you need to destroy a stump for a tree and get every rock. Which can be a problem in some cases as bits are stuck beneath the ground. This is fairly obvious at times when your mining a rock near the ground and suddenly massive boulders pop out of no where and fall down on you.

rocks respawn if u mine all pieces, but not trees , i cut down a really huge piece of forest , bc i need a lot lumber to create big wide bridge, i did it ~6 real life hours ago still nothing there

Did you get the stumps? They also might not spawn in the exact spot you cut them down from. Oh and the starting area doesn't respawn at all any more that I can see. I know those burnt ember tree's haven't respawen in 20+ hours of game play. Which is sad as i haven't found another burnt forest in my play through yet.

So after somethiing like 100 hours of gameplay: Rocks and emberforests definitely respawn. I'm not so sure about trees. They definitely don't respawn if you take out the stump. I cleared out the area around the mechanic shop two weeks ago and not a single one of the 50 trees i took out respawned (took out the stumps)

I'm nearing 200 hours gameplay and I have not yet seen any rocks, burning tress or normal trees respawn. I now have to travel quite a distance to gather resources.

I think it's the opposite of stone. If you take EVERYTHING out stone and ember forests will respawn. Trees only respawn if you leave the stump (i guess).

Well both respawned after i took everything out. embers one time, stone multiple times. So I'd say verified in that case. the stump thing is a guess as marked.
