how do vaccume pumps work
i cant find a video on it

It can suck up/ push things out when activated by a switch or button. You can press e on it to switch the direction, it can suck up water and push out items. you can use it to push crops into the packing station to trade later.

You can't pump items into a chest, but you can connect a chest directly to a refinery or a craftbot and they will automatically go into the chest.

do you know if a vaccume pump will propel a raft if you have 1 end suck and the other pump/vent the other way?

No it probably won't, i don't think they have any sort of knockback when you shoot water out of it.

There are green circles on the sides of a chest that are input/ output, you just hook that up to the green circle on the refinery and it will auto output
