It'd be nice if they told you this
Pointing you in some semblance of a direction is not "hand holding"
Also my first car was pretty small, just a wooden spine, with the seat & engine that branch out to the wheels, probably not the smallest but pretty close, I just think that no suspension+ non-round tires (that are solid, there doesn't seem to be soft body physics) and somewhat slippery is just awful, even just simple suspension or even just a spring with no shock absorber would be wayyy better, because right now the wheel basically slips when on the ground and spend the rest of time in the air, I even tried increasing the speed of the engine but it didn't matter there's just really that little traction.
Anyways I wanted to go into the update "clean", to be able to discover it and enjoy it for the first time, I was wrong I should have read a guide, which is probably what I'm going to do now lol.
You need to craft the "craft bot" in the big workshop, it will allow you to meke the shiny metal and progress
They already give you SOOO much information by limiting what you have access to at the start. It's painfully obvious what you need to do.
