ERROR code: 9 | World Builder
Hello everyone. I want to report a problem that i have for at least 2 months now... When I try to get into the World Builder a error message pops up: Unable to find workshop item Hidden Menu Assets - Survival car, so I am unable to use the World Builder.

After i click OK on the error (the only option i have) another error message pops out showing the ERROR code 9. I didn't find any discussions or fixes related to this problem so I ask for your help here, for me and for any other person having this issue.

I suppose that this asset pack is no longer available in the Workshop (it really isn't there anymore) and its deletion caused this corruption of files to occur, but now knowing this is what happened the problem remains: how can i remove the error? I tried to reinstall, backup, validate files, also unsubscribing from the assets pack (didn't work because as i mentioned the item is no longer on the Workshop), and actually any other fix that i could come up with. Nothing worked and the error persists...

Let's find a way around this!

Maybe try unsubscribe from the tile that uses it?

As I said, the tile or assets pack no longer exists in the workshop so I can't unsubscribe

you could try this
right click on scrap mechanic from your steam library
then click on properties
then click on the local files tab
then click on browse local files

from this location you could try to delete both the data and the cache directories. then validate the game through steam. hopefully this will get rid of the file that is causing you trouble.

I will try this as soon as posible. I will comment again if this fixes the problem

i found where all the workshop items are stored for your games.
mine was in c:\program files (x86) \steam \steamapps \workshop \content \387990

the last number might be different for you. each folder inside there has a png picture file so you can see which mod it is. since they are every workshop item you have ever downloaded you could delete them all and let it re download them. as it would not be able to download what you are not subscribed to.

EDIT: i just tested it and Fripe is correct steam is broken and will not auto download the workshop items. you can force them to re download by unsubscribing then resubscribing to all the workshop items you want to keep. the plus side if you can find the broken mod by it's png picture file you could just delete that one and it will be gone.

dont do this without a backupp it vill permanently delete the files and there is no way to rekover them beucause it it not in scrap mechanic but in steam and if you have alredy done this lock in your trashkan for the files

Deleting the mod is not worth it... It will just mess the game even more... I just dug deeper and deeper in the problem but to no avail. I think the next update should fix this problem somehow

I am writhing this now just to keep this tread informed, that through the time since the last comment, i have researched the problem, and still no fix to it! And it also seems that the error persists even when i play scrap on my steam account even on another PC, so it is transfering through the Cloud unit of Steam, making this even harder to diagnose, having in mind that is no just a local file corruption.

Still help required!

THIS ACTUALLY WORKED THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! i have apparently created tiles with assets that don't exist anymore, likely due to a mod getting deleted and me reinstalling the game at some point. anyway, this works. i can't thank you enough!
