Timed Piston

I want to make a piston that extends for a certain amount of time then unextends, but the timer only lets me delay till it extends, not for how long it extends. Does anyone know how to make it extend for say 4 seconds then unextend.

You can do this with simple logic. You will need two logic gates and a single timer. Set one logic gate to be a NOR gate, whilst the other keep as an AND gate. Set the timer to any time you wish. Now wire all three into a circuit. AND gate into the timer, the timer into the NOR gate, then NOR gate into the AND gate.

You should wire the AND gate to the piston, and a switch into the AND gate.
