Though I have only played this game a handful of times, it's something I think about a lot.
It has followed me through to my adult life and gave me much comfort in times of distress.

Something about it just feels like it connects the dots in my brain to something much darker. This game gave me ways to navigate those feelings and emotions in a safer environment and explore the language and themes more easily.

Thanks for making it, I've used this a lot to help myself in hard situations.

my final theory, this game probably takes place in miami.

name 1 other city where you can get so easily obsessed with palm trees, have your significant other message you with the most dehumanizing stuff ever to lay upon a computer monitor, and also eat shrimp from your fish tank.

That's... more like an engine demo than a game. A couple of rooms, some interactables, and nothing more. Maybe you can find a meaning in these scattered pieces of someone's life, but I'd recommend a kaleidoscope if that was the case.
