How do I let my body rest?

That was the feeling I got (painter=man in cage) but the character model was so poor and he was inanimate even when cage was unlocked that I thought maybe he was a doll.

Yes, the man in the cage is probably the painter. The newspaper clipping on the fridge suggests that.
