lily special attack is similar to exe attack. requirments
1. two characters. (duh)
2. both characters must know how to preform the attack. (reasonable)
3. have at least half of the exe guage filled as half is used for the attack. (its overly generous)
4. lily rank has no effect on it. (WHY!!!!)
thats it. control requirments are in the tutorial after it is unlocked with at least one character.

you need no advice, the game can be beaten by my 15 year old daughter in about 3 hrs

post game well thats another matter

11 hrs? on what??

its only like 5 quests to get to chapter 2 then 3 more to get to 3 and just a handful to get end game..

if you skip stuff

if you dont its still max only about 4 hrs play (without post game + lily rank headaches or tower bs)

LILY rank usage

is just like HDD power usage just press the OTHER button on the controller
mine is the triangle i think yours might be the Y if using xbox controller.

hold RB LB and press the top most button. not the left
left = hdd mode power
top = lily power (if unlocked)

i never use lily powers and still whooped this games rear

only thing that takes time is post game and dlc quests fighting lvl 300 mobs at lvl 99
does take a bit of.. understanding the game is kinda poor in its controls and tactics.

The lily rank does seem to make things charge faster though
The Nothing Man Apr 5, 2016 @ 2:39pm
lily rank? charge faster hmm?
I dont understand.

you mean the higher the rank? the faster stuff charges?

cause thats not true.. its specific to each person
some its just xp x 2 or 3 + special bonus insert here

etc
some of those are hdd charges faster but all thats kinda pointless
imo
As you level your lily rank you will get bonuses at the following levels.

Level 3: 1.2x EXP - Level up a little faster
Level 5: Recovery time reduced by 66% - I think it just decreses the time it takes for your inactive member to begin healing.
Level 7 2x SP gauge fill rate - Your RB + X. Y or B attacks guages.
Level 10: 2x EXE Drive gauge fill rate (AND Lily EXE attack once you reach that part of the story) - HDD mode guage and your LB + RB + X attack guage.

So here's my advice level Lily ranks with the red quest where you just have to fight 4 sub-bosses once you unlock the cheat option to insta-kill everything as it literally takes a couple of seconds for each run and 3-4 runs per lily level. BUT beware this is a very tedious grind as it'll take up to 40 runs for a character combo with Lily level 1 which is 1800* fights total (*I've forgotten what the base lily ranks are for every character so this number is based on that everyone starts with rank 1).

Dengekiko should be a main as her "Railgun" SP attack (RB + Y) can clear a wave of monsters quite easilly. once you get accessories also as her EXE basic combo is able to go infinitely without a stance reset. Although if you're in a walled arena Blanc is rather OP with her ricochet ice bolts (RB + X)

To unlock the various costumes even though they aren't really worth it as they are Hard (Can't break), Soft (Easily broken) and Torn (Broken costume forms) you just need to clear 3 missions with every character for hard, get your costume broken 5 times for Soft and using Soft get it broken another 5 times for torn. (These are in earned from watching the news feed picking the bottom option)

For medal and level grinding you're just best farming stages repeatedly until you max the medal types dropped from those stages (This also unlocks weapons and some accessories for your characters)

Once you unlock an accessory you have unlimited numbers of that accessory BUT you can only equip that accessory once for each form. So you can equip Neptune's Normal and HDD forms with Power Kit on each once. (Power kit/Empy/Empy) you can not stack them (Power kit/Power kit/Power kit) BUT you can equip the upgraded versions (Power kit/Power kit X/Power kit EX)

The best accesory layouts I use is Space Kit EX (+3000hp + 500 defense), Bomber EX (+2000hp, +1000 attack, +400 Special powers and Blossom EX (+500 attack and defense, +400 Special powers) for a balanced build which leaves your Neptune stats at the following (At level 99)
Normal: HP: 28020. SP: 7000, Pow: 3510, Def: 2289, CPU: 1757
HDD: HP: 41543, SP: 7000, Pow: 4122, Def: 3301, CPU: 2774
. Or for a more attack heavy build Acid EX (-11000hp, +4000 attack), Over EX (+4000 attack, - 1000 Special powers) and Space Ex (+3000 hp, +1000 attack) which at 99 gives you on Npetune the following:
Normal: HP: 9533, SP: 7000, Pow: 9999, Def: 1789, CPU: 1
HDD: HP: 22918, SP: 7000, Pow: 9999, Def: 2801, CPU: 974

Keep in mind for other characters the attack heavy build can be more a burden than anything as at 99 the younger sisters and the two journalists loose out on a large heft sum of stats leaving them with a dangerously low health count (Ram being the worse with 1320 HP and Dengekiko wiith 310 without Space EX to negate some of the lost health.)

I'm on 17 hours, and I only just started chapter 3.

There is such thing as enjoying the games you play, you know.
The Nothing Man Apr 6, 2016 @ 12:52pm
urmm

no way the game should take that long to get through chapters
unless you are trying to do lily ranks

in which case dont, those are really for post game anyway..

again only like idk 11 missions you do and done.. the game is..

to do all missions miiight for game end MIGHT take about 4hrs if you know how to play or 5hrs if you dont but not 11..

thats grinding to lily ranks or what is it you are thinking is called enjoyment vs being naive?

dont try to max 99 lvl you get a lvl up grinder that helps lvl up 3 times faster.

lily ranks wait for the tower lvl 4..

etc

post game missions wait until all tower is done with everyone then go do the lvl 300 mobs aka lbl 99 quests.
