How long to beat?
I've read something about 3-5 hours is that true?. Game looks really interesting to me and well made.

Depends on how you approach a Metroidvania -- if you're looking to completely explore the whole map and get every pick-up, maybe ~5-6 hours? A normal run might be closer to 3-4. There is also an achievment for beating the game in under 3 hours, so I assume anything under 3 is considered fast.

I can get it down to just above 2 hours.

Thanks :) that sounds good.

It takes about 5-6 hours to fully explore and get everything yes.

2-3 hours to full explore, if it is not your first walkthrough.

But yes, depending on your skills I'd say it's 5-8 hours long.

Seriously? On my first run I died 554 times, and took me over 11 hours xD

Damn, you gotta suck tbh x)

Ts. The game takes around two or three hours to complete if you have experience from earlier games. Otherwise it will probably take five or more hours to complete and even more if you want to have achieve everything.

I haven't played Definite Edition yet, but the original edition took me about 8 hours the first time.

My very first playthrough of the original Ori took about 13 hours and had 613 deaths but my best time (in the original) has been 2 hours and 17 minutes so I guess it depends on how much you practice it and how good you are at playing platform games.
It took me about 7 hours to complete a playthrough of the DE because I tried to get most of the achievements in a single playthrough but without trackbacking I could have easily done it about in 4-5 hours.

First time is more like ~8 hours. If you explore everything it's about 10 hours.

I agree with Lady Zana, 6 hours is for those that have already played it or are following a walkthrough.
I'm on my second playthrough after playing the first edition a year ago, no guides just exploring and solving puzzles on my own and 8 hours into the game I just finished Forlorn Ruins meaning I still have a good 3 hours to go give or take.

It's at the very least 8 hours. Plus it's incredibly replayable, when i finished the vanilla game, i replayed it 2 more times right away, to get all the achievements, and it was still just as fun as the first time. (That doesn't happen to me playing other games).

If you play the game normal like me and do not rush it can with ease take about 8h. 10h if you want to see everything :D

This is over a year old, but I think I'll give my two cents.

It took ~11 hours for me to complete the game 100%.
Looking online, it appears most people also beat the game at ~11 hours while going for 100%. While not going for 100%, it seems to take people ~10 hours. Going at a leisurely pace, it seems to take the majority ~17 hours. For those rushing through but not going for a speedrun it takes ~6-8 hours. Speedrunners seem to get ~2 hours.

If you're still unsure you can wait for a sale, but trust me, this game would be worth it even at a higher price than it is now.
