you charge the jump up, then you can either jump then press control or just dash while charged; just dashing acts as a normal dash except it does damage (one-shots basically everything) while if you jump then during the part of it where you rise dash you dash towards the nearest enemy and deal the damage of charge jumping into one.
makes killing enemies in certain places (mostly the lava slimes in mount horu) easier than they would otherwise be.
You can get Dash as soon as you get Wall Jump. The entrance to the new area is just to the right of the first save spot you find (in the original game there was a dead end there). You can complete the entire first half of the new zone with nothing but Wall Jump.
