how to access new content?
I beat the game and I'm assuming I didn't come across the new content as I'm still missing two moves. Did I miss it somewhere? I never played orginal so I generally just followed markers set forth. I planned on going back and getting collectibles I may have missed but is there an entire area I didn't even access somewhere? If so, where?

The new area/new moves are optional, you can beat the game without going into it. The entrance is just to the right of the first save point you find.

I just finished the first one of these and got the Dash. It's an interesting area.

I understand that as I did say I finished the game. My problem is I'm going back for collectibles and I've found a few spots I can't get through guessing new moves help.

That's a bit of a bummer to hear. When the devs said that they built the new content into the game rather than simply adding it on, I thought that meant that the campaign would naturally lead you to the new areas and abilities. Guess I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled for unfamiliar passages as I go.

Check your map and look for unexplored corridor near one of the map features close to start point accessible after Ginso. Anything more would be spoiling.

Also they did build the new content into the game in a way - Some bonuses are now behind gates only triggered by one of the new ability.

No need to worry, Slick. If the OP legitimately missed the new areas, then he's really very blind and/or extremely goal oriented to his own detriment. Which, in either case, is a shame, since I felt the new abilities really added to the experience overall and made the game that much more fun.

Ability spoiler ahead - Including a very literal grenade jump that could potentially bypass quite a few trickier platforming sequences altogether? Indeed!

I did come across an XP orb that was behind a door I don't remember and appears to be something I need one of the new abilities for. It's nice that they peppered that stuff around. I guess I'm not sure what I was expecting. I do think it's neat to see optional areas/abilities in this sort of game, I think I just assumed that they would be featured a bit more prominently. But considering that it would be much more intensive and cumbersome to implement, it makes sense that they did it the way that they did.

I'm just a liiiittle bit past the Ginso Tree, so I'll have to poke around a bit and see if I can't stumble into that new area.

Good to hear that they're worthwhile even if they aren't necessities. I already loved the sense of mobility in this game, and I'm really excited to expand on that.

I didn't miss it actually, now that I found where it was I remember I didn't have wall jump or wall climb when I first came across filed it under one of those things where it's a collectible I could come back and get later. Turns out it was entire new map area :berserk: I had to take a break because I'm dealing with some internet issues (posting from my phone right now) but I found the dark area and am planning on getting through it soon™
